An iconic estate in Tuscany, at the heart of Chianti, Tenuta Tignanello is the crown jewel of the Antinori family, which has owned it since the 19th century. Spanning 130 hectares of slopes with rocky, limestone soils, it produces some of the most sumptuous and coveted wines in Tuscany, and indeed, the world.
It was here that the first Sangiovese aged in barrel, Tignanello, was born—the first to be blended with Cabernet in the early 1970s and downgraded to table wine for breaking Chianti's appellation rules. This pioneer of the "super Tuscans" is undoubtedly one of the most coveted wines in the world, alongside Solaia, sharing the same land and legacy. |

Predominantly Sangiovese, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, it embodies classic elegance. The wine reveals an enticing bouquet of black cherry, spices, floral hints, and a touch of subtle toast. Its structure is exceptionally graceful, framed by silky, soft tannins that enhance its accessibility. Enjoyable even now with proper decanting, this wine also has the potential to age beautifully, rewarding patience for years to come. |
