The estate and the wine |
A solid pillar of the Northern Rhône Valley, Emmanuel Darnaud creates wines of great delicacy with the utmost care, inspired by the work of Bernard Faury, his father-in-law and mentor. Concerned with extracting the delicacy of his terroirs, he makes accomplished wines of great comfort, spearheads of their appellations. |

The 2021 Red Crozes-Hermitage Les Trois Chênes opens with a very fine fresh and floral nose with nice aromas of ripe fruit. The supple palate is articulated around well-proportioned tannins and a fine and full-bodied texture, with a digestible balance. All the attributes of a fine Syrah are combined in a fresh and elegant profile, which is already very accessible. A bottle to enjoy now with a lamb chop or to age for another 5 to 7 years. |
