The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Emmanuel Darnaud is a cornerstone of the Northern Rhône region, meticulously crafting highly appetizing wines inspired by the work of his father-in-law and mentor, Bernard Faury. Focused on deeply extracting the subtlety of his terroirs, he creates accomplished, supremely comfortable wines that are leading examples of their appellations.
Wine Originating from vineyards neighboring those of Gonon, the 2021 red Saint-Joseph La Dardouille presents a subtle and bright interpretation of the Syrah grape. This wine is exceptionally pure, expressing delightful smoky and bacon-like notes. Its texture is juicy, elegant, and well-balanced, supported by a noble and understated use of oak. A truly magnificent bottle! Rated 94/100 by the Committee.
Vinification Hand-harvested. Vines aged between 30 and 80 years. Partially destemmed, then fermented in vats for 15 to 20 days. Aged in barrels or demi-muids of 1 to 2 wines for around 18 months.

Farming: Organic conversion and High Environmental Value.
