The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A connoisseur's house, Deutz Champagne succeeds, year after year, in restoring the spirit of the Champagne blend in its Brut Classic cuvée. It is a challenge that very few achieve, but this reliable house based in Aÿ, the home of Pinot Noir, repeats the feat every time. In the fold of the Louis Roederer Champagne but managed as a distinct entity, with its own supplies, Deutz signs an identity of precise, elegant, floral, and cheerful champagnes.
Wine The Deutz Brut Classic Champagne is a must-have, one of the most famous non-vintage Champagne in the world. Its iconic bottle, its presence and its finesse have made its reputation! Under an abundant and regular bubble, it offers beautiful brioche and floral notes, with a touch of very fresh citrus. In the palate, the fruit-freshness balance is perfectly mastered, with a good patina brought on by the use of reserve wines. It is a wine that will be at ease as an aperitif, with foie gras or a ceviche of sea bream with citrus fruits. One of our favorite champagnes, rated 93/100 by our Selection Committee.
Vinification The Brut Classic Champagne is a blend of several harvested years (all done by hand). The "house style" is preserved by the contribution of reserve wines (20 to 40%), by the quality of the grapes, by the selection of the vintages (20 to 30) all coming from the Marne and with the right balance between the 3 great grape varieties of Champagne.
