Egly-Ouriet epitomizes Champagne excellence, earning the highest accolade with a 4-star rating from the Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France. With nearly 17 hectares, including ten Grand Cru vineyards in Ambonnay, Bouzy, and Verzenay, and two Premier Cru sites in Vrigny, Francis Egly has established an exceptional legacy, now continued by his son Charles and daughter Clémence. The unique balance and finesse of these wines set a classic standard that few can match.
From the very first cuvée, Egly-Ouriet’s style stands out, blending depth and precision and showcasing Pinot Noir with remarkable expertise. These are full-bodied Champagnes, crafted from exceptionally old vines, vinified in barrels, and aged patiently to reach their ideal expression. Each wine consistently offers purity, elegance, and complexity—a true reflection of its distinguished terroir. |

A symbol of the House's success, made from old meunier vines, the Blanc Brut 1er Cru 'Les vignes de Vrigny' Champagne is unique. The 2018 harvest base, supplemented with wines from 2017 and 2016, gives it a superior dimension, with exemplary body and maturity. It is a bubble that crackles and sparkles around a nose of dried fruit, honey, baked apple. The palate is terribly fresh and dynamic, asserted by the very low dosage (2 g/l, practically nothing). It has a real place as an aperitif or at the beginning of a meal; with marinated fish, it is simply magical! |
