A legendary estate in Piedmont, Elio Altare has been dedicated for nearly 80 years to crafting cuvées that honor the Langhe territory with utmost respect, embracing modernity and constant innovation. Elio, his wife Lucia, and their daughter Silvia work together to create exceptionally defined cuvées.
This estate is undoubtedly one of the most innovative in Italy, producing the finest Barolo and Langhe wines through organic farming and a moderate use of oak aging. The absence of sulfur, lack of filtration, and exclusive use of indigenous yeasts are hallmarks of this elite winery. |

Intense and fragrant, the 2017 Red Barolo Riserva Cerretta is a textbook Nebbiolo, a masterpiece of finesse, power, and elegance. From the renowned Cerretta cru in the village of Serralunga d’Alba, this cuvée combines beautiful notes of dark fruits, spices, and toast within a structured, dense, and firm framework. This is a grand Barolo meant for aging, with great depth, culminating in a long and flavorful finish. Rated 95/100 by Parker. |
