The estate and the wine |
Son of Vincent Girardin, Pierre Girardin crafts top-notch cuvées on his personal domain that showcase all the refinement of Burgundy. Whether in Meursault, Pommard, or Corton, his success is evident, with his wines expressing the utmost delicacy, infused with a style never overly influenced by aging.
We were among the first to recognize his talent and establish strong relationships; Olivier Poussier already sees him as a great winemaker and readily compares him to Jean-Marie Guffens... |

Skillfully aged in oak in large containers, with one-third new barrels, the 2022 white Éclat de Calcaire Burgundy delivers a pure and precise Chardonnay, with beautiful vivacity. Sourced from elite parcels in Meursault, Pommard, and Volnay, it outperforms its category and undoubtedly plays in the league of the greats. The result is a dense and crystalline juice, perfectly ripe, with a saline finish. A bottle to be enjoyed over the next five years, starting from the aperitif. |
