The estate and the wine |

Launched by Gérard Gauby, the star winemaker of Roussillon, Le Soula produces biodynamic wines of remarkable stature. Mark Walford, formerly Gauby’s British importer, took over the stunning Fenouillèdes sector to work old vines on these high-altitude soils.
Awarded two stars in the prestigious French wine guide the RVF, the results exceed all expectations: wines with a strong identity, marked by freshness and energy, two hallmarks that have always defined the estate. All of it under the attentive and supportive eye of Gérard Gauby. |

Made from three-quarters Syrah and the rest Carignan, the 2021 Red Côtes Catalanes IGP opens with aromas of black pepper and smoked bacon, all wrapped in a fresh, lingering charm. Supple, approachable, and full of flavour, it’s framed by fine tannins and vibrant fruit character. A thoroughly enjoyable wine—irresistible already. Rated 93/100 by La Revue du Vin de France, France’s leading wine magazine. |
