The estate and the wine |
|
|
A leading name in the Rhône Valley, the Perrin family has made Château Beaucastel the benchmark for Châteauneuf-du-Pape and one of the appellation’s most innovative and acclaimed estates.
With their deep expertise, they have mastered the art of crafting a flawless range of wines—consistently outstanding, approachable, and impeccably made—across neighboring appellations and, of course, in Châteauneuf-du-Pape itself. |

A single-parcel selection from a cool, well-ventilated site, the 2014 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Chapouins Red is a shining ambassador for the appellation.
Grenache-dominant and aged for five years in large wooden foudres, it reveals deep, complex aromas of leather and dried hay. The palate is elegant and finely structured, with silky tannins leading into layers of forest floor and mushrooms, before unfolding into a long, perfectly balanced finish, lifted by freshness and precision. |

Hand harvested separately for each grape variety. Vinification in truncated wooden vats for the Syrah and Mourvèdre and in traditional concrete vats for the Grenache. Blend of the different grape varieties. Aged in casks for 5 years. |
