The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Founded in 1849, Pol Roger is a true icon in Champagne. Known as the official supplier to the late Queen of England and a favorite of Winston Churchill, who has had a cuvée named in his honor since 1975, Pol Roger is revered for producing Champagnes that are both sensual and precise, with an unmistakable purity.

With a 90-hectare estate that supplies 65% of its grapes and an impressive stock of 9 million bottles aging over 7.5 km of cellars, the house intentionally keeps its annual production limited.

Boasting two stars in the RVF Guide, Pol Roger is celebrated for its consistent quality and excellence. Still family-owned and operated by descendants of the original founders, the house holds a special place in the hearts of Champagne enthusiasts.
Wine Seductive with its hallmark toasted aromatics and precise, expansive bubbles, the 2015 Cuvée Winston Churchill is a champagne built for long aging. With Pinot Noir at its core, it reveals earthy and herbal nuances characteristic of the vintage. The palate is generous and layered, offering impressive depth, power, and vinosity. Subtle bitterness on the finish adds complexity, while the wine achieves a remarkable harmony of richness, focus, and volume. Rated 96/100 by Bettane+Desseau.
Vinification Hand harvested, grapes from the Grands Crus of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled vats, separate vinification of the different grape varieties before the final blend. Malolactic fermentation, ageing in cellars 33 metres below ground.
