The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine One of the Rhône Valley's most respected winemakers, Pierre-Jean Villa, 2-star rated in the prestigious French RVF Wine Guide, continues to impress with every vintage. His wines, full of energy and depth, have captivated wine enthusiasts.

With 17 hectares spread across the region’s most celebrated appellations, including Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu, Villa crafts wines of extraordinary precision and vigor. His deep understanding of the Rhône's schist and granite soils allows him to create intensely fragrant, elegant wines that truly reflect their terroir.
Wine Set on a ripe, generous vintage, the 2022 Red Côte-Rôtie Carmina avoids the overly sunny traits of the year thanks to tireless efforts in the vineyard and winery. Showcasing pure, flavorful fruit, this Syrah reveals its full character with a sapid, rich texture that’s already delicious, yet built for long aging. A superb wine to enjoy in 4-5 years and for a decade or more.
Vinification Hand-harvested, with partial de-stemming. The grapes undergo a maceration process lasting around 20 days. The wine is then aged in wooden vats, demi-muids, and barrels for 18 to 24 months.
