The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A true Rhône Valley goldsmith, Aurélien Chirat tames the dizzying slopes of Condrieu and Côte Rôtie with uncommon dexterity. For several vintages now, he has been leading Vignobles Chirat on the road to excellence, expanding his vineyard with consistency and talent.

He now vinifies the whole range of the greatest wines of the Northern Rhône Valley for our greatest happiness, especially since the prices remain reasonable compared to the prices of these prestigious appellations. This is the estate to follow, the rising star of Côte Rôtie and Condrieu.
Wine Very expressive of the viognier grape variety, the 2020 White Condrieu Les Chays offers itself with a nice aromatic complexity, between notes of apricot and bergamot. The palate remains balanced in a rich and full-bodied style, with good length on the finish, which will be a good match for poultry in sauce for example. Rated 92/100 by our Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested, fermented with indigenous yeasts in barrels, aged on fine lees for 10 months, 10% of which in new barrels.
