The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine A true master of the Northern Rhône Valley, Aurélien Chirat tames the steep slopes of Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie with remarkable finesse. Over the past few vintages, he has been steadily guiding Vignobles Chirat toward excellence, expanding his vineyards with restraint and skill—a dedication that earned him a second star in the Green Guide this year.

He now crafts the full range of the Northern Rhône’s finest wines, much to our delight—especially given that his prices remain refreshingly reasonable compared to the soaring value of these prestigious appellations. Chirat is one of the most acclaimed talents of his generation, a rising star in Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu.
Wine Sourced from the hillsides of Condrieu, just 100 meters from Château Grillet, the 2023 Or Piste White Vin de France channels the same spirit as the great Viogniers—generous in texture and refined in style. A stunning expression of granite-rich soils, it offers a vibrant, fresh wine with beautifully expressive fruit flavors, carried by a subtle, elegant bitterness on the finish. A superb achievement! A true favorite of the Selection Committee, rated 93/100.
Vinification Hand harvested. Pneumatic pressing of whole grapes. Alcoholic fermentation in demi-muids and stainless steel vats. No malolactic fermentation. Aged for 6 months in 500-litre demi-muids containing 4 wines, no new barrels. Bottled on 8 February 2024.
