The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine This global vineyard legend derives its strength from a place and a family, fervently sought after by enthusiasts from all over the world.

These lands, bathed by the Duero and shaped by an austere climate and skilled hands, indeed forge one of the crown jewels of global viticulture: Vega Sicilia. The Alvarez family has created an icon, linking land, time, and man for eternity.

If these wines rank among the world's viticultural elite, nothing has been left to chance: the barrels are crafted by the estate using their unique methods; the aging processes are extremely lengthy, with some cuvées only reaching the market after waiting up to 10 years.
Wine Sharing the same birthplace and aging techniques as Vega Sicilia, the 2019 red Ribera del Duero Alion is much more than a little brother! In this hot and dry vintage, it offers more structure, power, and concentration, without sacrificing a certain sensuality, a velvety and evident juice. Ripe and engaging, this wine unfolds all the sophistication of the place and the estate, displaying intense black fruit and velvety tannins. A feat, with moreover perfectly integrated woodiness that always leaves this plush and comfortable imprint characteristic of the House. Rated 94/100 by Parker
