The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Co-managing the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Aubert de Villaine also owns a splendid estate in the Côte Chalonnaise. His nephew, Pierre de Benoist, has been managing it and overseeing the winemaking for over twenty years, becoming a master in crafting Aligoté.

With the same rigor and discipline in vineyard management as seen in the legendary Vosne-Romanée cru, and practicing organic farming, he expertly crafts magnificent whites of grace and precision. Year after year, the magic happens…
Wine The 2022 white Bouzeron stands out for its pure flavor profile, offering a refreshing and crisp taste with a beautiful tension. Still very young, it already impresses with its slender and digestible profile. Thanks to its fine bitterness and vitality, it will continue to open up over ten years and beyond, especially in such a well-balanced vintage. Sourced from 17 parcels of old vines located on the appellation's best slopes, this rare wine is a must-try, rated 94/100 by the Committee.
Vinification Hand-harvested, natural settling, alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in wooden tuns (80% of production) and stainless steel or enamelled vats (20% of production).
