Wine:

The 2023 Red Pétugue (Vin de France) takes a lighter, more delicate approach than many wines from the region. This is a vibrant, fruit-forward red, bursting with tangy raspberry and cherry notes, offering pure drinking pleasure with its silky texture and effortless charm. With fine tannins and minimal extraction, it delivers a sleek, lively profile, striking a perfect balance between elegance and energy. A wine that is as easy to enjoy as it is refined. Rated 92/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

Hand harvested in 15kg openwork crates. Vinification of 50% destemmed and 50% whole grapes. Short maceration for 4 days. Aged in vats for 7 months.

Color:

Bright, light ruby red.

Nose:

Fruity, mouth-watering aromas of crushed raspberry and cherry.

Palate:

This wine delivers a flavorful, airy, and easy-drinking profile. Its infused texture is enhanced by a dynamic and elegant freshness.

Temperature:

Serve at 14 to 16°C.

Beef steak with rosemary, dried duck breast, lamb chop with thyme.

It’s an unusual adventure. Domaine de l’Argentière, rooted in Visan for four generations, underwent a complete transformation in 2022.

Stéphanie Cave and Johan Bartholin, having trained under some of France’s top winemakers (Pierre-Jean Villa, Alphonse Mellot, Stéphane Sérol, Henry Pellé) and enriched by international experiences, decided to refocus on a few hectares of the family vineyard to craft entirely new, signature cuvées — lively wines, fully respectful of nature, cultivated and vinified organically.
