Wine:

A complete success, the 2021 White Montagny Sélection Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru is distinguished by a very pure nose, a beautiful concentration of mineral chardonnay grapes, with a fine chalkiness and a delicate floral touch. The palate benefits from the freshness of the vintage and offers an elegant, racy, very harmonious wine. A bottle which has everything to please and which will evolve positively over 5 to 10 years, but which is already very attractive! A Selection Committee Favorite rated 93/100.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, vinified and aged in oak barrels, 15% of which are new.

Color:

Bright golden yellow.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Sea bass with olive oil, langoustine risotto, whole baked sea bream, carpaccio of st pierre with vanilla oil.

Stéphane Aladame is one of our favorite winemakers of Montagny, and the entire Côte Chalonnaise. A talented and passionate man who especially shines on his 1er Cru terroirs which he aims to reveal in all its sincerity, never masked by oak or a complicated aging process. 

His terroirs in Montagny 1er Cru are incredible models of finesse and freshness, offered at reasonable prices. The holy grail for any wine lover!
