Our committee's review
A remarkable cradle of legendary producers and iconic wines, the Northern Rhône Valley reveals a captivating diversity. Its granite, schist, and limestone soils provide an ideal foundation for white grape varieties, which flourish here to produce wines of generous texture, vibrant energy, and exquisite aromatic complexity.
We’ve handpicked three timeless estates—René Rostaing, Julien Pilon, and Guy Bernard—to bring you the very best of the Rhône Valley. These white wines are perfect for summer, striking a beautiful balance between freshness and richness, with graceful aromas of white flowers and ripe fruit.

Made from 100% Viognier, the 2023 IGP Collines Rhodaniennes Les Lézardes White delivers a beautifully refined bouquet of apricot, white peach, wisteria, and bergamot—evocative enough to rival a Condrieu. The palate is generous and rounded, echoing the aromatic profile with pure, mouthwatering charm. Perfect alongside exotic dishes—think chicken pastilla, saffron rice, or coconut shrimp—this is pure joy in a glass.
True to the Northern Rhône style, the 2023 Crozes-Hermitage On the Rhône Again White presents a beautifully expressive nose, rich with floral and honeyed notes—hallmarks of the Marsanne grape, which leads the blend. The palate is fresh and energetic, showing ripe fruit character lifted by delicate bitters that add length and finesse. This is a refined, well-crafted wine, ready to enjoy over the next 3 to 5 years, offering vibrant aromatics, excellent juice quality, and, above all, a restrained approach to aging. Rated 92/100 by the Selection Committee.
The 2023 Condrieu Bassenon White is a textbook expression of Viognier, with a remarkably pure nose featuring delicate aromas of peach skin and bergamot—beautifully ripe and supported by subtle, well-integrated aging. On the palate, it shows impressive concentration, a clean, focused structure, and lasting persistence. The touch of oak is still present but will mellow gracefully over time. Patience will be rewarded—give it until next spring to enjoy it at its peak. Rated 93–94/100 by the Selection Committee.
