Château Angélus no longer needs an introduction—it has become one of the most influential names in Saint-Émilion over the past decade. A wine of power and stature, crafted with meticulous precision, long known for its polished, almost architectural style. But in recent years, subtle refinements have brought an added dimension: behind the structure, a new elegance is emerging.
The 2024 vintage marks a return to a more classical Bordeaux expression. Shaped by oceanic conditions, it shows remarkable balance, with restrained alcohol (13.5%) and finely woven tannins. Similar in construction to the 2023, it developed slowly, allowing the full expression of its gravel and limestone terroirs, which preserved the wine’s freshness.
The team harvested with extraordinary precision, almost vine by vine, adapting to the ripeness of each plot and the age of the vines. Ageing now combines traditional barrels with larger 12hl and 30hl foudres, giving the wine greater definition and purity.
The result is a 2024 of real refinement: both supple and energetic, with a long, stretched frame, finely textured tannins, and a brilliant aromatic clarity that underscores its depth. A standout from its appellation. This year more than ever, it’s a wine to secure—at this price, opportunities like this don’t come twice.
