Wine:

The 2023 Meursault White shows beautiful ripeness, opening with delicate floral aromas that give way to a refined, luxurious touch of oak, offering subtle toasted and grilled nuances. On the palate, it’s broad and generous, striking a fine balance between ripeness and freshness. The aging process—currently still noticeable—will integrate beautifully with time. A little more patience will be rewarded, as this is a precise, pure, and finely crafted wine. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.

Vinification:

100% whole grapes harvested, pressed, lightly crushed. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in barrels, on lees, without stirring. Pneumatic pressing. Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new wood from the Jupilles forest.

Color:

Bright golden yellow.

Nose:

Subtle floral notes, followed by delicate toasted accents and a noble, luxurious wooden aroma.

Palate:

Full-bodied and generous, with beautifully ripe, fresh fruity notes, this wine is straightforward, pure and perfectly crafted. The aging process currently dominates its youthfulness, so it will benefit from a little patience.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Fillet of turbot with white butter sauce, brill with white grapes, pike bites or quenelles with Nantua sauce and crayfish, white pudding with truffles.

Cellar aging:

Starting today, until 2033 and beyond for enthusiasts.

Originally from Quebec, Pascal Marchand found in Burgundy a true haven that awakened both his passion and his talent. After 15 years as the craftsman behind Clos des Epeneaux and a pioneer of organic and biodynamic viticulture, he went on to manage Domaine de la Vougeraie. In 2006, he launched his own boutique négociant business in Nuits-Saint-Georges, partnering with fellow Canadian Moray Tawse. Together, they also acquired their own 8-hectare vineyard.

This high-end, artisanal venture—awarded one star by the RVF wine guide (a prestigious French publication for wine connoisseurs)—now offers a tightly curated selection of meticulously crafted wines, all organically grown.
