From now until 2027Fattoria La Massa is the jewel of Giampaolo Motta who embarked on an improbable winemaking adventure in 1992. He honed his skills at highly esteemed estates in the heart of Chianti, such as Fontodi, Villa Cafaggio, and Castello dei Rampolla. By the late 90s, La Massa had garnered international acclaim. The estate's flagship wine, named Giorgio Primo, belongs to the exclusive and historic club of the most outstanding Tuscan wines, often referred to as 'Super Tuscans,' alongside names like Sassicaia, Ornellaia, and Cepparello. In recent vintages, Fattoria la Massa wines have been bottled as IGT, allowing them to always use the finest grapes from the estate without being bound to meet the Sangiovese quota.
