Maison Ventenac - Vin de France - Cassandre - Blanc - 2021

Wine:

The 2021 White Vin de France Cassandre is a 100% vermentino, a Top Pick from our Selection Committee that has rated it 93/100. Its clear color, light notes of citrus fruits, candied lemon, summer flowers are a pure delight. The palate is elegant, light and pure, with a nice tension on the finish. A superb bottle to pair with spicy or Mediterranean cuisine.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, pneumatic pressing, separation of free-run juice, fermentation in stainless steel tanks thermo-regulated at 18°C, maturing on lees for 3 months in stainless steel tanks. Tangential filtration and bottling.

Color:

Pale light green, on green tones.

Nose:

A beautiful freshness marked by citrus fruits, candied lemon, lime, floral touches, a side of wisteria, schallef (aromatic shrub) and lemongrass.

Palate:

With a beautiful tension and purity, this wine offers an exuberant aromatic but without excess.

Temperature:

Serve between 10 and 12°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Skewers of scallops, fried fish, monkfish, cod brandade, stuffed squid, oven-roasted red mullet fillets, eggplant lasagna, small Provençal stuffings.
