Hailing from a gravelly site in the western part of the appellation, the 2021 Chinon Les Picasses Red delivers a perfectly ripe, fruit-forward Cabernet experience. It opens with vibrant notes of graphite, stone fruit, plum, and spices. The palate is fresh, savory, and well-balanced, showcasing pure, bright fruit without any oak influence. Ready to enjoy now and will age beautifully for 5 years or more. This is the Selection Committee’s favorite, rated 93/100.Vinification:
Hand harvested, macerated for one month, aged for one year on fine lees in oak barrels (between three and seven years old) in old tuffeau stone quarries.Certified organic wine.
