Wine:

From the hidden gem of Chavaroche, perched between Côte Brune and Côte Blonde, the 2022 Côte-Rôtie La Péroline combines power and refinement with effortless elegance. Its noble character is enhanced by impeccably handled ageing, delivering depth, freshness, and a remarkable sense of balance. A shining example of the vintage and a true testament to the art of winemaking.

Vinification:

Hand harvested on 30 August 2022. Fermented 100% whole grapes, with temperature control, for 3 weeks. Aged for 24 months in 600-litre oak barrels, 10% of which are new.
Production of 2,100 bottles.
100% Syrah, old serine, massal selection for 20 years. 0.5 ha of terraced vines in the Chavaroche area of Ampuis. Vines on average 50 years old.

Color:

A dark red with beautiful intensity and brilliance.

Nose:

Black fruit aromas mixed with floral notes.

Palate:

Powerful and remarkably fresh, with ripe, deep flavours, this cuvée stands out for its pedigree and sophistication. Its true elegance is enhanced by expertly handled ageing, making it a wine of exceptional character and balance.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C in a large glass.

Food and wine pairing:

Hind stew, fillet of beef with black pepper, roast duck breast, coq au vin.

Cellar aging:

From now until 2034, and beyond for enthusiasts.
