Wine:

The 2024 IGP Vin des Allobroges Red Argile is a blend of Gamay, Mondeuse Noire, and Persan, offering delicate smoky and peppery aromas, followed by vibrant notes of strawberry and redcurrant. The palate unfolds with a fine, precise juice, supported by silky tannins and a mid-palate that balances Gamay’s delicious fruitiness with the rustic elegance of Persan. With only 10% alcohol, this is a charmingly easy-drinking wine that calls for hearty, traditional fare — think country terrines, cured meats, or slow-cooked dishes. Joyful and lively in its youth, it’s best enjoyed within the next three years. Rated 92/100 by our Selection Committee.
