The Cantalapiedra family has been growing vines in Spain for generations, rooted in La Seca at the heart of Rueda. The modern story began in 1949 when young Heliodoro planted his first vineyard at just 15 years old. Since 2014, his grandson Manuel has led the renewal of Cantalapiedra Viticultores, farming with a thoughtful approach that goes beyond organic, embracing biodynamics. In the cellar he favors spontaneous fermentations and drastically limits sulfur, while keeping the wines razor-precise. This philosophy gives them a strong, authentic identity, so it’s no surprise our sommeliers were instantly won over by this discovery.
