Domaine Berthelemot has quietly become one of the names to know in the Côte de Beaune. It’s a rare find in Burgundy—an estate that combines authenticity, restraint, and precision, all backed by an extraordinary collection of vineyard sites.
Founded by Brigitte Berthelemot, the domaine has grown steadily over the years, piece by piece, to cover 15 hectares now farmed organically and with biodynamic principles. What’s truly impressive? The roster of terroirs: Volnay, Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves, Bressandes, Clos des Mouches, Pommard, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne, and even Corton-Charlemagne. That kind of lineup would take generations to assemble—yet Berthelemot has done it in just over a decade.
The style here is all about clarity and finesse. Gentle pressing, cool fermentations to preserve freshness and aroma, and élevage kept under a year—it’s a philosophy that lets each site speak clearly, without artifice.
For Burgundy lovers, it’s a chance to explore some of the region’s greatest terroirs with honesty and elegance—and at prices that still make sense. A modern Burgundy classic in the making.
