Wine:

Defined by radiant floral notes—rose in particular—alongside delicate toasted accents, the 2023 Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Montroziers Red delivers refinement and nuance in every sip. Crafted in an elegant, infusion-style approach, it offers impressive freshness and beautifully integrated tannins. A graceful, poised wine that pairs beautifully with poultry or a tender veal chop.

Vinification:

Hand harvested. 100% de-stemming. Alcoholic fermentation for 19 days in stainless steel vats, with 1 daily punching of the cap. Malolactic fermentation and ageing for 14 months in French oak barrels, 20-3% of which are new, then aged for 2 months in vats.
Vineyards of 4 ha, 84 a and 9.88 acres, spread from north to south of Nuits-Saint-Georges, including ‘Aux Lavières’ for 1 ha, ‘Tribourg’ for 0.90 ha, ‘Les Damodes’ for 0.70 ha..., planted in 1928, 1955, 1965, 1968, 1972, 1979, 1982, 1985, 1986, 1999 and 2012.

Color:

Good intensity red colour, brilliance.

Nose:

Dominant floral notes, bouquet of roses, noble woody notes, slightly toasted, the whole is appealing as soon as it is opened.

Palate:

The palate expresses a lightly extracted Pinot Noir, rather in an infused style, well balanced in freshness, with well-structured tannins without excess, with an ageing potential of 6 years or more.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C.

Food and wine pairing:

Beef tournedos Rossini, roast poultry, tender veal chop with mushrooms.

Cellar aging:

From today until 2031, and beyond for enthusiasts.
