Wine:

A Committee's Favorite rated 96-97/100, the 2019 red Bandol is an ode to mourvèdre. From this terraced vineyard facing the sea, it narrates the wonders of the Mediterranean, with scents of scrubland, licorice, plum, and spices. The exceptionally pure nose, precise and intensely black-fruited, with subtle aging, gives way to hints of spices and dried herbs. This register of beautiful complexity continues on the palate, in a dense, concentrated, voluminous frame, with caressing tannins and vibrant freshness. This is a characterful, refined, mature, fresh, and above all, very delicate Bandol. It can be enjoyed today, decanted for an hour, or cellared for ten to twenty years. Its majestic concentration and length will undoubtedly make it a refined and highly delicate wine in the coming decades.

Vinification:

Hand harvested, aged for 18 months in oak barrels then in underground cellars.

Intense bright red with carmine undertones.

Nose:

Of great purity and complexity through an aromatic palette marked by a precise aromas of fruit, intense in black fruits, spices, pepper, dry herbs and sober breeding.

Palate:

Dense and concentrated, this wine reveals a pure palate underlined by a beautiful freshness, coated tannins, a sober evolution and a firm texture.

Temperature:

Decant before serving between 16 and 18°C.

Venison in sauce, game, red meat.
