Wine:

Vinification:

Hand harvested. Old vines on the steep slopes of the Verduno hillsides, in Monvigliero, Neirane, Bocato and Rocche dell'Olmo.

Temperature:

Serve between 14 and 16°C in a large glass.

Roast beef, duck breast with spices, shredded beef with Espelette chilli.

A true legend of Barolo, Giovanni Burlotto stands in the pantheon of world viticulture. Founded in 1850, the estate once supplied the House of Savoy and still enjoys a loyal following among the greatest wine lovers.

With 12 hectares in Verduno, the northernmost part of the appellation, this family estate in Piedmont produces wines of remarkable class in the purest Italian tradition. Fermentations in large oak vats, long macerations and careful aging shape wines built to age, intense yet refined. The same gestures and care, preserved for nearly 200 years, make Burlotto one of Italy’s great benchmarks.
