Our committee's review
Honoured many times over and praised by international critics, Albert Bichot belongs to the exclusive circle of Burgundy’s most prestigious houses. Carefully selected parcels, harvests at optimal ripeness, and perfectly judged barrel aging that respects the identity of each terroir—these are the pillars of this renowned Burgundian institution whose reputation extends far beyond France.
Led with vision and care by Albéric Bichot, the driving force behind its rise, this House has become an essential name in Burgundy today. Don’t miss the chance to secure this trio of bestsellers!
The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé White is already highly enjoyable, opening with subtle honeyed notes in a style reminiscent of a well-developed Chablis. Its dense, supple texture retains plenty of freshness, creating a structured, generous wine with excellent aging potential. It’s best enjoyed at the table—try it alongside a vol-au-vent or classic pike quenelles.
Blessed by a remarkable vintage, the 2022 Aloxe-Corton Red stands out for its vibrant colour, showcasing Pinot Noir at perfect ripeness. Elegant and fresh, it bursts with bright red fruit aromas and fine-grained tannins. The palate is lively and crisp throughout, adding to its delicious drinkability. This is a beautifully expressive Pinot Noir—lightly touched by oak aging for nuance rather than dominance—persistent, savoury, and built to evolve gracefully over the next decade. Enjoy it with a veal chop or other refined dishes.
All finesse and elegance, the 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Red lives up to its pedigree. The nose is a classic expression of Pinot Noir, delicately unfolding with wild red berries, subtle hints of light oak aging that bring notes of blond wood, and plenty of freshness. On the palate, it delivers all the grace and refinement you expect from Chambolle, with layers of licorice and milk caramel from the maturation process. This is a wine that rewards patience—ideally give it another 2 to 3 years to fully open up.
